It's been said that at some point in everyone's life, they will experience an event that will change them forever; for better or worse. For me, that event took place on Monday, December 3, 2001. That was the date I had surgery to remove a benign brain tumor and, in effect, start my new "normal" life at age 39. After that experience, I realized that I wanted to be of help to others; to "pay it forward" so to speak. Based on my experience in taxation and finance, I embarked on my career in personal financial planning to sincerely help others to pursue their financial goals. 

Process

The most important way I help others work toward their financial goals is by education. I enjoy teaching my clients about financial planning and giving them the knowledge they need to plan for a secure future. Throughout the process, I take time to listen. I want to know what client's care about most; what motivates them. I often ask prospective clients "If money were no object, what would motivate you to get through the day?" Once we find answers to this question, I can then build them a bridge from where they are now to where they want to be. This is done through the financial planning and investment process. The plan is then implemented and we do everything we can to take great care of them along the way.

Our broker/dealer (BD), LPL Financial is the largest independent BD in the country, as reported by Financial Planning magazine, June 1996-2020, based on total revenue. Unlike many other BDs, they have no proprietary products to sell, and I have no agenda to offer any particular financial product. I have a fiduciary responsibility to my clients,  therefore I am free to recommend the products and services that best meet your needs to pursue the goals you have set. 

5. Fee-based Compensation

Unlike a commissioned salesperson, I am a fee-based financial planner who does better when you do better. As an investment advisor representative, I have a fiduciary obligation to make decisions that are truly in your best interest. In most cases, the fees that I earn cover all the costs for comprehensive financial planning, asset management and retirement planning.
